OUR STORY

Shining and Learning Together

SALT of Trinity was created by a group of homeschool moms who wanted their kids to have the same opportunity to engage with art, science, and nature as children in public and private schools.

From those five original families, SALT has grown to an organization serving 100 families and nearly 300 students each school year.

We encourage all members of SALT, regardless of their religious affiliation, to manifest Christian virtue, serving as role models to our kids and one another with respect.

Encouraging in Speech

(Colossians 4:6)

We believe our words should be encouraging and positive. There should be no insults, cutting people down, gossip, or slander by any member, child, or adult.

Humility of Mind

(Philippians 2:3)

All our members should act with humility and respect for those around them. In all things, we should be humble and kind and act with grace.

Respectful of Authority

(Hebrews 13:17)

In word, action, and attitude, we should be respectful both within and outside of our group. Members are required to show respect to our leadership team, those who are directly in charge of our group, and the GCC employees who work with our group.

Teachable in Spirit

This may be the most crucial quality for someone who wants to grow, learn, and teach! We all have weaknesses, but if we remain teachable, we have hope. We must be willing to listen to constructive criticism and consider the path of change.

The Board of Directors upholds mostly fiduciary responsibilities and acts as an advisory committee for the team, managing our day-to-day operations. Our Board is comprised of members of SALT and others from the community, each providing a unique gift or experience to benefit our members.

ACTIVITIES

Fun for All Age Groups

All our activities are led with a Christian worldview. All are welcome in our group, and all members are expected to respect our Christian teachings and traditions. Our focus is on community and not on classes.
